POINTLESS CAN certainly inspire some friendly (ish) competition amongst friends and family, but destroying relationships? Surely not!
Two of the contestants on yesterday’s episode were pals Sarah and Mariam, though if their appearance on the quiz show is anything to go by, they may not be so pally nowadays.
Host Alexander Armstrong asked Sarah to name a country that ends with two consonants – and even though she could tell him she got an A Level in Geography, she couldn’t think of anything to say except ‘Paris’.
Mariam. Was. FUMING.
Her face. Please, somebody check on Sarah.
Viewers were quick to pronounce their friendship dead in the water:
We’d like to think they can work it out. C’mon gals, it’s only a few bob! …Gals?
